This hotel is a hidden gem in northern Japan with a wonderful immersion into Japanese culture. The rooms offered a unique experience with a private onsen, and the food was mostly good, especially at breakfast. However, the Wi-Fi could be improved for better connectivity, and the dining experience felt average at times.

My room was compact yet modern, decorated with a lovely Japanese aesthetic. It featured a private onsen that was a fantastic addition, and the view from the balcony was soothing.

The staff were incredibly polite and accommodating, making me feel welcomed despite the language barrier. They always made an effort to assist in any way possible.

Located conveniently near the harbor and close to many attractions, the hotel's position was perfect for exploring the local area.
Dining

The breakfast spread was quite decent with local delicacies, although the dinner buffet was average. I particularly enjoyed the salmon rice with dashi.

I had a pleasant stay at this hotel, which is well-designed and stylish, making it a nice base for exploring the Shiretoko area. My room was spacious and came with a lovely view of the sea, although the onsen experience was a bit underwhelming. The dining options were decent, with a buffet that was above average but still a buffet. Overall, it’s a good pick for those who enjoy larger tourist hotels, but it might not suit those looking for a more authentic experience.

Rooms
9.0
My room was large, comfortable, and beautifully decorated, featuring big windows that offered stunning views of the Okhotsk Sea. I also appreciated the tatami style and nightly turn-down service.
Service
8.0
The service was attentive and polite. They even picked us up from the bus station, which I greatly appreciated. However, they generally kept to themselves, allowing guests the space to relax.
Location
9.0
The hotel is ideally located right in the heart of the town, making it convenient to access various restaurants and sights in Utoro.
Dining
7.0
While the buffet dining was above average, catering to both Japanese and Western tastes, the experience felt a bit like a standard buffet and could have had more exciting options.
Facilities
7.0
The overall facilities were nice, including a stylish public area and good amenities like the onsen, although the onsen didn't feel as natural as I had hoped.

I had a lovely stay at this hotel with a beautiful modern room that offered an incredible view of the Sea of Okhotsk. The service was polite, although at times it felt a bit impersonal, and I encountered some communication challenges. The onsen facilities were a highlight of my visit, along with the decent breakfast options. However, the dining experience in the buffet could be improved. Overall, I found this to be a great base for exploring the area, considering the limited lodging options nearby.

This hotel offers a serene escape with stunning views of the Okhotsk Sea, especially from the open-air onsen on the rooftop. The rooms are cozy and provide a peaceful atmosphere, though the dining experience can get crowded and may lack variety. While the journey to the hotel is long, the breathtaking scenery makes it worthwhile. Overall, it's a beautiful spot for relaxation, but some aspects like meal options could be improved.

We stayed in a sea-facing Japanese style room that was not very spacious but had a cozy feel, perfect for enjoying the tranquil view of the Okhotsk Sea.

I had a delightful stay at this resort with a breathtaking sunset view from the indoor onsen and a wonderful outdoor foot spa that was perfect for winter relaxation. The food was fantastic, especially the pastries. However, I did notice some areas that could use improvement, like the dark hallway we stumbled upon and the need for the staff to be more welcoming to non-Japanese speakers.

Rooms
8.0
The rooms were clean, comfortable, and luxurious, but I found our room to be relatively small and compact, fitting the modern Japanese style.
Service
7.0
The staff was polite, but I think they could be friendlier to non-Japanese speaking guests.
Location

The hotel is well-positioned, giving easy access to the onsen and great views, but I did encounter some dark areas that could be a bit daunting.
